Job Description

Our Head Cook's position is the leader of the Hospitality team. Main area is the kitchen and lodge area which would include meals and cleanliness. The Head Cook prepares and serves 3 family-style meals per day during the seasons. Summer is usually 15-25 people served per day and other months it can be 2 guests up to 20 sometimes. On Fridays in the summer only breakfast and Sunday only supper. You will also assist with room turnovers when needed and refreshing as part of the hospitality team. We seek an individual we can trust to do the best job possible helping to make home cooked meals that are served family style. Our meals are southern style home cooking. This is a 6 day work week during the non summer months and 5.5 days during the summer. The posted yearly salary also receives all living costs free as part of your pay ($12,000 value-lodging, meals, utilities), quarterly merit pay (gratuity-tips) and 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service. Total potential yearly earnings =$37,400.00 ($21,600 yearly salary $1800/month plus quarterly merit pay ($3800 yearly average with biggest pay out for summer) and $12,000 in yearly living expenses are supplied by the ranch. Raises come quickly (2-3 weeks) to those that can get the job done! This is a salaried position offered for year round applicants. During low seasons you will be cross trained to help outside with the horses. Your Summer work schedule is typically 630am to 130pm and then back for supper 330pm to 7pm. 5.5 days per week. The other seasons you start at 7am, break between 130 to 330 and out by 7 pm if you clean as you go as we require.
