Job Description
We are hiring a Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of a premier fine dining steakhouse in Cleveland, OH.
Required: Several years as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in a premier fine dining steakhouse, at the level of Mastro's, Steak 48, Del Frisco's Double Eagle, Bourbon Steak, or Ocean Prime. Your resume should show that steakhouse by name. Casual steakhouse chains and small local steakhouses are not a fit for this role.
The role is on-site in Cleveland. Chefs relocating from larger markets are welcome.
Base salary: $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience, plus bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead every dinner service and private event.
- Lead, schedule, and develop sous chefs and line staff.
- Maintain fine-dining standards for food quality, consistency, and plating.
- Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, and labor.
- Oversee food safety and sanitation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or Executive Chef in a fine-dining steakhouse.
- Experience managing a high-volume, event-heavy operation.
- Strong leadership and staff training record.
- Ability to relocate to Cleveland if not currently local.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an operation with a strong events and wine program.
