About the Opportunity
Lard Oil Company, a growing convenience retail and fuel distribution organization, is seeking an experienced District Manager to lead operations across multiple company-operated convenience stores in Southeast Louisiana.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring strong multi-unit food service operations experience, along with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve financial performance, and consistently execute operational standards.
Our retail business includes traditional convenience stores, fuel operations, nationally branded food concepts, and proprietary prepared food programs.
This is an opportunity for an experienced operations leader to make a meaningful impact across a diverse retail business with a growing emphasis on food service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership and accountability for multiple convenience store locations, including integrated food service operations.
Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers to achieve sales, profitability, customer service, and operational objectives.
Assume responsibility for overall store-level P&L performance, including sales, gross profit, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses.
Drive consistent execution of food service operations, including product quality, food safety, staffing, labor productivity, food cost, waste management, and brand standards.
Identify opportunities to improve food service profitability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Analyze financial and operational performance, develop corrective action plans, and ensure measurable improvements.
Oversee fuel operations, including accurate and timely execution of approved pricing and operating programs.
Maintain high standards for store appearance, merchandising, inventory controls, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with retail leadership, merchandising, and food service management to execute company initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Demonstrated success leading multi-unit retail, convenience store, restaurant, or food service operations.
Strong operational leadership experience with responsibility for financial performance and team development.
Working knowledge of P&L management, labor productivity, inventory controls, and operational performance metrics.
Proven ability to coach managers, establish accountability, and improve business results.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel regularly among assigned locations.
Highly Preferred:
Significant hands-on experience managing multi-unit food service operations, including QSR, prepared foods, or convenience retail food programs.
Demonstrated success improving food cost, labor efficiency, waste control, food safety, and food service profitability.
Experience managing multiple food service concepts or branded restaurant operations.
Experience in convenience retail, fuel operations, or combined retail and food service environments.
