Responsibilities
- Managing platforms like OpenTable or Yelp to schedule, confirm, and update reservations
- Use digital floor plans to track table status (clean, dirty, occupied) in real time to optimize turnover
- Answering phone lines to take food orders and organizing to-go orders for pickup.
- Balancing the workload across different sections of the restaurant to prevent servers from being overwhelmed
- Assisting servers or bussers by clearing tables, wiping down menus, and restocking silverware during high-volume rushes
- Sanitizing menus, cleaning the hostess station, and cleaning front glass windows and doors as needed.
- Previous experience as a host/hostess, server, or busser is preferred
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
