Award winning family owned tavern is looking to hire a full time Kitchen Manager to lead a small team in delivering exceptional traditional American cuisine. The ideal candidate will manage all kitchen operations manually and maintain close coordination with front-of-house staff and suppliers to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a kitchen team of under 10 staff members
- Manage inventory and order supplies directly from vendors
- Plan menus reflecting traditional American cuisine
- Ensure food safety compliance and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Monitor quality control and consistency of all dishes
- Create and manage staff schedules to optimize coverage
- Control costs through careful budget and waste management
- Train and develop kitchen staff performance and skills
- Coordinate regularly with front-of-house personnel
- Oversee kitchen maintenance and equipment upkeep
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen management
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
