Upcoming San Antonio location of Muck & Fuss seeks Kitchen Manager
The Kitchen Manager will lead a large kitchen team specializing in casual dining, ensuring high-quality food preparation through hands-on involvement. This role requires strong leadership and operational skills to maintain food safety, manage inventory, and optimize menu offerings. The manager will coordinate staff schedules, oversee supplier relationships, and uphold budget standards while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a kitchen team of 16+ staff members
- Control inventory to minimize waste and manage costs
- Plan and develop menus aligned with casual dining preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Manage kitchen budgets and vendor/supplier coordination
- Train staff and resolve conflicts to maintain a productive work environment
- Schedule shifts and manage order inventory effectively
- Maintain kitchen equipment and oversee maintenance
- Participate in hands-on cooking and food preparation
- Deliver exceptional customer service through kitchen operations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years as Kitchen Manager or General Manager
- Texas Food Handler Manager certification
- TABC Certificate
- Strong knowledge of food safety compliance
- Proven inventory management skills
- Demonstrated team leadership and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with budgeting and menu development
- Excellent time management and communication skills
Base salary $95,000 plus bonus
