Overview
We are a gourmet taqueria located in the vibrant neighborhood of Deep Ellum Dallas. Join our team as a Kitchen Manager and lead our culinary operations with energy, precision, and passion! In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen management, ensuring smooth food production, exceptional customer service, and a vibrant team environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Hire, Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.
  • Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks efficiently, and maintaining a lively team environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants; experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in the food industry; capable of training and developing team members effectively.
  • Familiarity with POS systems experience with cash handling and sales reconciliation is essential.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards (including HACCP), and food production processes.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high energy levels.
  • Hospitality management background with experience in restaurant or hotel environments is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
