Jay Ques on the Deuces is a vibrant restaurant and bar in the heart of St. Petersburg, known for great food, strong drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a skilled bartender who can keep up with a fast-paced environment while delivering top-tier customer service.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly, with a passion for hospitality and creating a great guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide excellent customer service and engage with guests
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Handle cash and process payments using the Union POS system
- Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Restock bar supplies and assist with inventory
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience required (2+ years preferred)
- Familiarity with POS systems (experience with Union POS is a plus)
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Florida alcohol service certifications (such as ServSafe or equivalent)
- Experience in high-volume restaurant or bar settings
