Head chef position available. (Primarily Daytime Hours)
- Creative Lead Chef for daily winery lunch menu and private winery events.
We are a local family-owned and operated Winery located just 10 minutes North of Downtown Denver. Our Tasting Room is open daily, 7 days week, from 11am-5pm, for Wine Tastings, Winery Tours & Lunch from our in-house full-service kitchen. The winery also has event space where we host a variety of corporate and private events, including weddings, that take place from 6pm-11pm.

Creative Lead Chef expectations and responsibilities overview.
- Expand, elevate and create the Tasting room small plate and lunch menu. We are looking for fine diningquality.
- Review food costs and set pricing
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with the highest quality in presentation and flavor to impress and elevate the customers experience.
- Work the line and prep alongside your team on a daily basis to create an environment centered around teamwork , respect, and integrity that encourages the team to put out the best possible dishes in a timely manor.
- Manage the daily service line/prep team to include; scheduling, overseeing food safety procedures, cleanliness, quality of food preparation and presentation are met with high standards.
- Nurture, teach, and guide your team.
- Ordering and inventory management in collaboration with the Event Lead chef
- Work with event staff, service staff and front of house staff in a collaborative manner to ensure guests have a wonderful experience.
Collaborate and contribute to the Event Team when needed.
The ideal candidate:
- Is professional, reliable, trustworthy, hard-working, friendly, organized & able to lead his/her team.
- Is prepared to be a respectful, thoughtful, & professional member of the Balistreri culinary team.
- Work collaboratively with owners and event managers to develop menus and protocol systems.
- Uses creative problem solving to overcome obstacles.
- Is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a flexible schedule, able to work weekends, evenings & holidays as required.
Compensation & Benefit Details:
- Pay Rate: Starting at 65,000 - 75,000 per year (based on experience and performance)
