Job Description: Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Dockside Pub (Swampscott, MA) Location: Swampscott, MA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $65-75,000/salary, depending on experience Schedule: Nights & weekends required (Friday evening and Saturday evening availability strongly preferred) Dockside Pub is a small, busy, full-service neighborhood restaurant (60-80 seats) focused on great food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality. We're hiring a hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations, run excellent shifts, coach the team, and uphold standards.What You'll DoLead shifts on the floor: set pace, support the bar and dining room, and deliver standout hospitalityCoach FOH staff in real time (servers, bartenders, hosts, support) on steps of service, urgency, and teamworkExecute strong opening/closing routines, side work, cleanliness, and organization every shiftHandle guest issues and service recovery professionally and quicklySupport the GM with training, scheduling coverage, and team accountabilityFollow and enforce cash handling, POS accuracy, and comps/voids/discount policiesAssist with inventory organization/spot checks, receiving, and vendor follow-up as neededMaintain compliance with MA safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standardsWhat We're Looking For2+ years of restaurant leadership experience (AGM/shift manager/strong supervisor)Confident floor leader who stays calm under pressure and drives urgencyStrong communication, reliability, and a guest-first mindsetComfortable with POS systems, basic shift reporting, and team coachingTIPS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Why DocksideCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceA leadership role with real responsibility and room to growA tight, community-focused restaurant where your presence matters How to Apply: Reply with your resume and a short note about your leadership experience and availability (especially nights/weekends).REQUIREMENTSABOUT THE COMPANY We are a family owned sea pub, thank you for checking us out!
