We're looking for passionate, hands-on Sous Chefs who thrive in all-scratch kitchens and have a proven ability to lead teams, maintain high standards, and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with all aspects of kitchen operations
- Lead, coach, and develop line cooks and kitchen staff
- Ensure consistent execution of recipes, plating, and quality standards
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and food cost controls
- Support scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency
- Foster a positive, professional, team-oriented kitchen culture
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Sous Chef experience in an all-scratch kitchen
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience in high-volume restaurant environments
- Knowledge of inventory control, food costing, and kitchen systems
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement
Compensation & Schedule
- $60,000-$75,000 annual salary
- 5-day workweek
- Approximately 50 hours per week
- Multiple opportunities available throughout Metro Detroit
