Resident Coffee exists to tell the stories of incredible coffee and the remarkable people involved along the way.We roast and serve coffees from trusted partners around the world, focusing on transparency, intentional sourcing, and quality. Based in Gainesville, Florida, were a small team passionate about creating meaningful connections through coffee, with our community and with the producers we work with.In May of last year, we opened our first cafe at 4401 NW 25th Place in Gainesville. Its a 3,500-square-foot space with a full kitchen and coffee bar, built to match the care and quality of our roasting.The cafe is an inviting, detail-forward space where great food and great coffee live side by side. Our food program reflects our backgrounds and values: Hispanic-influenced, locally sourced when possible, and made with better ingredients and better choices. It has become the next step in deepening the Resident experience for our community. -Position: 60;Prep / Line CookLocation: 60;Resident Coffee, 4401 NW 25th Pl, Gainesville, FL 32606At Resident, were building a food program thats thoughtful, honest, and made to match the care we put into our coffee.Were hiring experienced Prep & Line Cooks who are excited to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven kitchen. Youll be responsible for prepping ingredients, working the line during service, and helping us deliver food thats as dialed as the coffee we serve.This is a combined role. Some days youll be focused on prep, others youll be on the line. Were looking for cooks who are comfortable doing both and can keep things moving without cutting corners.Youll be responsible for: Prepping produce, proteins, sauces, and garnishes to spec Cooking and plating dishes during service with consistency and care Maintaining clean and organized workspaces Washing dishes during the day Managing inventory and minimizing waste Communicating clearly with the rest of the team Following food safety and sanitation standards at all timesWhat were looking for: At least 1 year of kitchen experience (prep, line, or both) Ability to stay focused and organized under pressure Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness Interest in food thats simple, intentional, and ingredient-driven Team-first mindset. We all do the work togetherDetails:Part-time and full-time availabilityWeekend availability requiredHourly pay + BOH tip split, with access to monthly retail coffee on us, discounts, and ongoing trainingCompensation:$16.00/hr + BOH Tips (tips currently average $2-3/hr)$16.50/hr + BOH Tips at 90 day review (after training period is complete)$17.00/hr + BOH Tips at 6 month review(Pay listed above reflects average pay rate, including back of house tips.)
