YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS In this role, you'll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here-use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience. As the Barista, you will serve customers and extend great customer service by providing information to help with food and beverage selections, creating and presenting order choices, and maintain a great coffee house experience by promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKELearn and have complete knowledge and understanding of the coffee menu and food choicesEducate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink and food menu; answering questionsKeep work area and customer area clear of cluttered dishes, glasses and garbageObtain proper coffee knowledge to appropriately assist our guestsPrepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniquesMaintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining suppliesKeep equipment running by following operating instructions; maintaining supplies; equipment cleanlinessMaintain safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulationsUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail and food service publications; maintaining personal networks; attending industry seminars or classesArrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetingsLeave a positive impression on the customers to ensure a return venture and potential word of mouth promotionThank the customers for visiting the establishment and ask them to come back again GHG24Requirements: The position requires open availability. WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEEDYou have one year Barista experience (preferredYou possess basic math skills (able to add, subtract and count back change to customer)You have legible handwritingYou have strong customer service and verbal communication skills MANDATORY REQUIREMENT • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
