Line Cook

Overview
Join Evergreen Brewery as a Line Cook and contribute to a kitchen culture known for food that exceeds typical brewery fare. This role is fast-paced and hands-on: you will be responsible for executing menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to detail while maintaining organization and cleanliness. You will partner with a tight-knit culinary team to ensure every plate meets our high standards for flavor, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

• Consistent Food Preparation: Follow recipe specifications and plating standards to prepare menu items reliably during service.
  
• High-Volume Service: Perform effectively and calmly during rushes, prioritizing speed without sacrificing quality.
  
• Station Accountability: Own your stationkeep it stocked, orderly, and ready for service before and after shifts.
  
• Final Checks: Inspect every dish for proper temperature, portion, and presentation prior to sending it to guests.
  
• Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate with chefs and front-of-house to keep service moving smoothly and address order issues promptly.
  
• Sanitation & Safety: Uphold rigorous food safety procedures, including correct storage, labeling, and temperature monitoring.
  
• Prep & Inventory: Assist in prep tasks, rotate stock, and flag inventory shortages to leadership.
  
• Maintenance Support: Care for kitchen tools and equipment and report any problems immediately.
  
• Event Support: Help execute special events, limited-time menus, and other promotions as needed.
  

We prefer candidates with previous line cook experience in busy restaurants, breweries, or similar environments. A strong work ethic, punctuality, stamina, and the ability to maintain urgency during long shifts are necessary. Candidates should possess fundamental culinary knowledge, proper food safety awareness, and solid knife and station management skills. Excellent communication and a team-oriented mindset are required. You must be able to stand for long periods, work in hot conditions, lift and move heavy items safely, and be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
