Job Summary

Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit.
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and beverage service to enhance customer experience.
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within the food industry; café experience is highly valued.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing cash registers accurately.
Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts.
Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including coffee brewing and drink service standards.
Commitment to cleanliness, food safety practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods effectively.
