Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards
Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Greet customers warmly, taking orders with attention to detail and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
Maintain cleanliness of the caf area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety guidelines
Handle cash transactions confidently, processing payments accurately and giving correct change using cash handling best practices
Restock supplies regularly to ensure smooth operation during busy hours and assist with food preparation when needed
Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards and ensure customer safety
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred; caf or coffee industry experience is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales and transactions
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts
