Job Description:We are seeking a
Line Cook to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Palm Beach team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. Responsibilities will include creating, planning and supervising the production of top-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods to enhance the quality of the guest's experience for our Pastry Department. Additional responsibilities include responsible for daily production and supervision of the pastry shop hourly staff; creating and recommending menu changes to the Executive Chef; working and maintaining good working relationships with other work areas; meet with meeting planners and social catering event coordinators to develop personalized dessert products.
This position is a FLEX (AM / PM) position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights. We have a full-time position available.This position is designated for out Pastry Culinary department.Essential Qualifications:
- 1-3 years' experience as a Pastry Cook/Baker in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
- Food handling certificate.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
- Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests' food orders.

- Ability to transport cases of received goods to the workstation; pots and pans of food from storage/prep areas to the serving line.

- Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions.
