Job Title: Bartender

Reports To: Restaurant Manager, Head Chef, Shift Leaders

Summary

The Restaurant Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. They play a crucial role in upholding the restaurant's hygiene standards and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Dishwashing
    • Operates the dishwashing machine efficiently, loading, washing, and unloading items according to established procedures.
    • Pre-soaks and scrubs heavily soiled items as needed.
    • Washes items by hand when necessary, ensuring proper sanitation.
    • Inspects all cleaned items for cleanliness and any damage before storing or returning them to service.
  • Kitchen Sanitation
    • Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation areas, including countertops, sinks, and cutting boards.
    • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
    • Empties trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal.
    • Cleans and maintains the dishwashing area, including the machine, sinks, and storage areas.
  • Organization and Efficiency
    • Stocks clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in designated areas.
    • Rotates stock to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage.
    • Assists with kitchen organization and storage as needed.
  • Additional Duties
    • May assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables or washing produce.
    • May assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and bend and stoop frequently.
  • Other: Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment. & Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
