THE JOB: The Executive Chef is responsible for oversee kitchen operations, achieving financial and operational goals. Implement property F&B initiatives and uphold MGM Resorts' service standards. Ensure guest satisfaction and exceptional experiences. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Manage recipes, menus, inventory, and supplies, while maintaining cost controls. Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation, and cleanliness within all areas of the kitchens Supervises and helps train and educate all chefs and cooks Inspects food preparation processes to be sure that proper standards of taste, quality, quantity and appearance are maintained Promotes and maintains high standards of sanitation and health in food preparation, storage, personnel, tools and equipment Interacts with internal/external guests to ensure satisfaction and product quality. Promptly addresses guest feedback and complaints, implementing suitable resolutions to ensure a positive experience Collaborate with all departmental kitchens and team members to ensure a seamless execution of product delivery between kitchens inclusive of time standards, recipe specifications, and quality THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Bachelor's degree or Culinary experience 2+ years of prior culinary-level kitchen experience Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement. Previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations Ability to execute on guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs Strong overall knowledge of menu preparation and presentation Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, employees, and other outside contacts Able to lead and mentor a team. Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail. Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment; maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
