Position Overview

White Oak is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Chef to lead the culinary evolution of the restaurant. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader, creative force, and thoughtful collaborator who understands how to balance tradition with innovation. This role is perfect for a chef who is inspired by Southern foodways and excited to explore how they intersect with Mediterranean techniques, ingredients, and cultural stories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, team leadership, cost management, and quality control
  • Develop and execute a seasonal menu that reflects the Cuisine Du Sud philosophy
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a professional kitchen team focused on excellence and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with ownership and FOH teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Represent White Oak within Atlanta's culinary community


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine role in an upscale or chef-driven kitchen
  • Strong foundation in Southern American cuisine, with an interest or background in Mediterranean and North African cooking
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing kitchen teams
  • Strong organizational, financial, and operational management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for culinary storytelling and concept-driven menu creation
