We are seeking a skilled Correctional Supervising Cook to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our kitchens within multiple correctional facilities across the great state of California. $53,424.00 - $65,700.00 Annually Responsibilities : Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols. Plan and coordinate meal production according to dietary guidelines and facility requirements. Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of food items. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation standards and food handling procedures. Monitor kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and minimize waste. Qualifications: Experience: Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity over cooks and other food service workers with responsibility for supervising and assisting with the preparation, cooking, and serving of various food items. and Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Cook • Full-Time • Dierbergs Markets Deli/Seafood Cooks work as a part of the Deli/Seafood team, with an emphasis on cooking. The majority of their shift is spent cooking, but can also fulfill Deli/Seafood Associate duties: Prepare and cook products in warm kitchen with temperature of oil and ovens up to 500 degrees Follow safe food handling guidelines whenever preparing food, according to S.A.F.E. program standards Maintain appropriate temperatures and avoid cross-contamination throughout production and storage Has strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures/guidelines.
