Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Take charge of the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence, maintaining smooth operations and high standards.
- Supervise, train, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Develop and execute seasonal menus and daily specials, emphasizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximize quality and profitability.
- Uphold rigorous standards of kitchen safety, sanitation, and organization.
- Collaborate on menu planning, recipe development, and plating to deliver memorable dining experiences.
- Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's reputation for creativity and excellence, from prep to final presentation.
- Mentor junior staff, providing training and guidance to elevate the entire team.
- Support the inn's mission of hospitality and guest satisfaction, contributing to special events and private dining experiences.
