THE ROLE

• The pep+ and Foundation Employee Communications Senior Manager Contractor will play a key role on a high-visibility cross- functional team, responsible for supporting the design and implementation of how best to reach associates with Food and Beverage's pep+ agenda and Food and Beverage Foundation communications strategy.

• Specific to pep+, this role will work to bring the context of how the global Sustainability, R&D, PPGA, and other elements of our business are a key part of our pep+ agenda and are critical to strengthening our corporate reputation.

• The work will focus on elevating sustainability and social impact initiatives, demonstrating our outcomes and reporting our progress to associates through global internal channels and content.

• Related to the Food and Beverage Foundation, this role will work closely with the team above, as well as the Social Impact & Foundation teams to amplify programming and engagement opportunities, as well as showcase our work to associates around the world.


RESPONSIBILITES

• Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Employee Communications, the pep+ and Foundation Employee Communications Senior Manager will: Pep+

• Partner with global Food and Beverage Positive (pep+) Communications, Sustainability, R&D, and PPGA teams to stay close to the initiatives and form communications strategies to best demonstrate outcomes and report progress to associates through global internal channels and content.

• Lead employee communications and storytelling for employee engagement programs, working collaboratively with the regional communications social impact leads and Foundation Communication COE leads.

• Determine the associate amplification strategy and cadence for key program launches and moments throughout the year, modifying key messaging for associates identifying key R&D and sustainability programs.

• Partner with the Content Team to execute the internal communications strategy to promote our sustainability efforts in agriculture, climate, packaging, and water.

• Internally amplify thought leader content being created and managed by external communications team as they support the execution of the visibility strategy for our Chief Sustainability Officer.

• Work collaboratively with the pep+ external communications team, Corp social/digital team lead, regional communications social impact lead, Community Giving & Volunteer team, and Social Impact teams to develop and amplify stories and key moments to engage associates. Includes participation in the pep+ community of practice to collect and curate key content for global channel editorial process.

• Manage execution of and partnership in content creation with larger team for global pep+ town hall meetings and large-format programs to educate employees on the pep+ agenda Food and Beverage Foundation

• Partner with global Foundation and Social Impact team to stay close to the initiatives and form communications strategies to best engage employees in the programming and communicate initiatives

• Determine the associate amplification strategy and cadence for key program launches and moments throughout the year, modifying key messaging for associates identifying key social impact programs.

• Partner with the Content Team to execute the employee communications strategy to promote our initiatives including scholarship programs, Move for Good, etc.

• Internally amplify thought leader content being created and managed by external communications team as they support the execution of the visibility strategy for our Vice President, Food and Beverage Foundation.

• Work collaboratively with the pep+ external communications team, Corp social/digital team lead, regional communications social impact lead, Community Giving & Volunteer team, and Social Impact teams to develop and amplify stories and key moments to engage associates.


Overall:

• Partner with COEs to ensure that key assets, toolkits and playbooks are shared across the larger Global Employee Communications networks for localization and implementation

• Develop measurement and evaluation tools and reports to analyze program in collaboration with larger program teams to ensure impactful data and insights performance and engagement

• Other tasks that might be required to fill the requirements of the role in service of the above.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Communications or relevant degree preferred)

• 10+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or PR.

• Experience working with and managing agencies.

• Experience working with Foundations and social impact programs

• Experience working in science, innovation, food and beverage, or related fields.

• Ability to think and act independently, using sound judgment, in an often ambiguous and dynamic environment.

• Strong decision-making and resourceful, problem-solving skills.

• Executive presence and comfort around senior executives.

• Culturally and politically astute. Great judgment, empathy, perception and ability to ascertain a situation quickly and effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, particularly under tight deadlines and through the lens of general public, employees, stakeholders and KOLs.

• An awareness of the challenges facing global food and beverage companies through the lens of R&D and how that extends to other functions on the team (Sustainability, PPGA, Social Impact & Foundation). What it Takes to Thrive in this Role:
