Sakagura

Sakagura is a speakeasy Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Manhattan, and was established in 1996. We carry over 200+ variety of sake, and serve a traditional Izakaya style dishes.

Position Details:
Server Assistant
Pay rate: $11.00 + Tip (During Training: $17 No Tip)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced server assistant who has both an experience with a fine dining restaurant to join our team. We are looking for a passionate team member who is able to work quick paced work environment while still being able to provide exceptional service to our dining guests.

Some duties include:
Communicate with the servers, food runners, host/hostess, and kitchen staff for an efficient operation
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and memorable dining experience for our diners

Required skills:
A decent English for communication with all staffs
Has an experience in a fine dining Restaurant for 2+ years
Willing to follow basic rules and stay professional in restaurant at all times

Preferred Skills:
Able to multi-task in a busy work environment
Be open to constructive criticism to better your service
Be a team player on the floor as it can get very hectic
Be always willing to learn!
Experience with Japanese language/bilingual with Japanese and English is HUGE PLUS!
