Cook - Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage portion sizes and presentation to ensure consistency.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and new team members.
- Handle and store food products in compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Cook - Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook or relevant role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
- Familiarity with industry best practices
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
