Line Cook - Dinner Shift, 3 or 4 -10
Description: All employees are expected to: Have a team player attitude. Display hard working and honest character. Posses excellent people skills and display outgoing personalities. Uphold the Hoffbrau Mission Statement. Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Report to work as scheduled (no earlier than five minutes), in uniform, and ready to work. Maintain professional relationships with all coworkers. Follow checklists and standard operating procedures. Perform duties as assigned. Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule. Provide the highest level of service in accordance with our standards. Primary Job Functions: Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines. Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner. Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant. Restocks all items as needed throughout shift. Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team Requirements: Physical Demands This position will spend 100% of the time standing and working in congested areas. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water. Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing, bending and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds when needed. Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly. Smoking is not permitted on the premises. Job Requirements: Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Previous prep or line cook experience. Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized. Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions. Comprehensive understanding of the English language. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers. Required to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays. Required to purchase appropriate uniform upon hiring.
