Food Server - Part-Time AM/PM Shifts

Our busy restaurant is looking for servers with a friendly smile and a cheerful customer service attitude to set the tone for our guests to enjoy their dining experience with us. You will serve our guests in the restaurant by ensuring that they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served timely, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests. Our ideal candidate maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor toward our guests and coworkers while providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This person will handle occasional bartending duties in addition to serving. AM and PM shift availability ideal.

• Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities
• Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors
• Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties
• Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer client queries and provide recommendations

• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills

We're next to I-80, a few miles away from the Aksarben Shopping Center. The University of Nebraska Omaha campus is under three miles away, and it's six miles to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. Downtown Omaha attractions like the CHI Health Center and the Old Market are eight miles away.
